What is a free download gate?
A download gate is a landing page that sits between your fans and a free download. Before the file unlocks, the listener completes a few actions you choose: follow your SoundCloud profile, like and repost the track, follow you on Spotify, subscribe on YouTube or leave an email address.
It's the fairest trade in music marketing: your fans get a free track, remix or sample pack, and you get followers, reposts and engagement that push your music further in each platform's algorithm. That's why DJs, producers, beatmakers and labels have used download gates (also called fan gates or follow gates) for free downloads for over a decade.
Valorizd is a free download gate platform built for exactly this. Creating a gate takes under a minute, and on SoundCloud the actions are performed for real through SoundCloud Connect, not just shown as buttons fans can skip.

Frequently asked questions
What is a download gate?
+
A download gate (also called a fan gate or follow gate) is a page that gives away a free download, like a track, remix, sample pack or preset, after the fan completes a few actions: following you on SoundCloud or Spotify, liking or reposting a track, subscribing on YouTube or leaving their email. Every download turns into new followers and engagement.
Is Valorizd really free?
+
Yes. The Starter plan is free forever and includes unlimited download gates, up to 2 actions per gate, download tracking and analytics, with no credit card required. Pro ($4.99/month) raises the limit to 5 actions per gate and adds widgets and email notifications; Studio ($11.99/month) allows 15 actions per gate and removes Valorizd branding.
Does Valorizd verify SoundCloud follows, likes and reposts?
+
Yes. Fans connect their SoundCloud account and Valorizd performs the follow, like, repost and comment through the official SoundCloud API before the download unlocks, so the actions actually happen instead of being skippable buttons.
Which platforms can I use in a download gate?
+
SoundCloud (follow, like, repost, comment), Spotify (follow artist or playlist, save track or album), YouTube (subscribe, like, comment, share), Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and Discord, plus fan email collection.
What can I give away with a download gate?
+
Anything: WAV or MP3 tracks, remixes, bootlegs, edits, stems, sample packs, presets, project files, beats, videos, templates or a link to any external file. You can upload the file to Valorizd or paste a download link.
Is Valorizd a good Hypeddit alternative?
+
Yes. Since SoundCloud paused Hypeddit's API access in June 2026, Hypeddit can no longer enforce SoundCloud actions. Valorizd still performs them through SoundCloud Connect, and you can import an existing Hypeddit gate in one click.
How long does it take to create a download gate?
+
Under a minute. Paste your SoundCloud track URL, and Valorizd fills in the title, cover art and the follow, like, repost and comment actions for you. Add your file, publish and share the link.
